South Sudan says Sudan is attacking in its border BENTIU, South Sudan - South Sudan says it has been attacked by Sudanese Armed forces more than 6 miles inside its border. The attack comes days after South Sudan announced it is pulling its troops from the disputed town of Heglig to avoid an all out war with Sudan.
Deputy Director of Military Intelligence for South Sudan Maj. Gen Mac Paul said Sunday ground troops from Sudan launched three waves of attacks.
