Coach Pat O'Neill leaving Brophy Prep swimming with perfect record in 12 years


After 12 years of never losing a dual meet, an invitational and state championship, Pat O'Neill is walking away from the Phoenix Brophy Prep swimming dynasty.
HIs boys teams won 12 state championships in the highest division in his 12 years as head coach, adding to the streak that reached 30 titles in a row last fall.
O'Neill said he is returning to the Mesa Unified School District to coach swimming at Red Mountain with one of his former swimmers, Ben Scott. O'Neill said he will be teaching math at Red Mountain, as well.
Brophy Prep has won a total of 40 state boys swimming championships.... read more
