Corrections officials: Inmate disappeared from Safford work crew


Authorities on Wednesday were searching for an inmate who walked away from an off-site work crew in Safford, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections.
Officials said Juan Nunley, a minimum-custody inmate, slipped away from the crew near the Safford prison complex's sewage pond.
Nunley was last accounted for during a crew count at 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the department. Officials announced his disappearance about 10 p.m.
