‘Facebook Home’ app to display friends, messages on smartphone homepage

Facebook wants to make sure it's in your face while you're on the go.
The social media heavyweight on Thursday unveiled new software that puts a user's Facebook friends and messages right on the home screen of a smartphone.

The family of apps, called "Facebook Home," will be integrated into Google's Android operating system, the company said
