Houston voters primed to make history in 29th Congressional District


For the first time in more than two decades, voters in eastern parts of Houston and Harris County are going to send someone new to Congress.
And they are almost certain to make history doing it.
Six of the seven Democrats in Tuesday's primary for the 29th Congressional District, are Hispanic and the other candidate is Pakistani-American. Houston has never sent someone who is Hispanic to Congress to represent the city. And the city has never sent someone who is Pakistani.
