Man, 22, charged in Tuscaloosa business holdups, questioned in student robberies
A man is now in custody and charged in two business robberies in Tuscaloosa, and he remains a suspect in a series of off-campus crimes targeting University of Alabama students.
Tuscaloosa police today announced the arrest of 22-year-old Arington Karbie McDowell. He is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery in holdups that happened Feb. 21 in the 1600 block of Hackberry Lane and Feb. 22 in the 1700 block of 10th Avenue. He is in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $120,000 bond.
Police twice had put out the suspect's photos in hopes of identifying him.
