MSCO officer shoots charging pit bull
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released body-camera footage of one of its deputies shooting a pit bull in the snout while on a call in east Mesa over the weekend.
MCSO Deputy Chief Dave Trombi defended the deputy's actions, saying the dog advanced very quickly toward the officer so he didn't have much time to react.
"At some point, we have to determine that what is about to occur is going to cause us injury or the dog, and we have to take action," Trombi said.
