NDSU trophies stop canceled in South Dakota after complaints


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — North Dakota State's five football national championship trophies are on a tour of Scheels stores in the upper Midwest, but they won't be making a scheduled stop in South Dakota.
A Bison trophy display at the Scheels store in Sioux Falls on Sunday has been canceled after complaints by people affiliated with South Dakota State.
The Bison and Jackrabbits are rivals on the field. Former SDSU football player Barry Nagel tells the Argus Leader (http://argusne.ws/1QtAdvb ) that "people were fired up" about the trophies being put on display south of the border.... read more
