Phoenix man accused of threatening mass shooting at Romanian church, police say
A Phoenix man is accused of threatening a mass shooting at North Valley Romanian Pentecostal Church in Phoenix.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office arrested 46-year-old Ismaiel Damian in connection with the death threats on Sunday.
Deputies began investigating Damian on Feb. 19. after receiving a Facebook post in Romanian that made no direct threats to the church, but the statements were concerning, according to a Sheriff's Office statement Monday.
