Wednesday's forecast: Very warm East, soggy South
Another day of near-record heat is likely for the eastern U.S. Wednesday while heavy rain soaks the lower Mississippi Valley and another storm rolls into the Northwest.
East: Spring fever will take hold in the East on Wednesday as temperatures soar into the 70s from Florida to the Mid-Atlantic under sunny skies. New England will be clear but slightly cooler, mainly in the 50s and 60s.
